Zilla Parishad School, Janathe Pada, Vikramgadh

This is a primary school at a village called Janathe Pada. School has 40 students in standards 1st to 4th. School is situated in the heart of village, little inside the main road. The land for the school is donated by local villager (a small piece from his own farm).

School has 2 classrooms – one hosts standard 1st & 3rd and the second one hosts standard 2nd & 4th. School also has small kitchen,  toilet, flag-post, small play-area and a surrounding compound.

Very airy and spacious classrooms. Classroom has lot of learning posters, small hangings, low-level black-boards for kids to scribble or learn giving them joy of writing on the board,

 

Classrooms has enough space to have multiple blackboards for teachers and students to use simultaneously for multiple purpose. School also has small public address system to be used in small events organised.

A soft-board on one corner of the room provides facility to post the creations of children. Teachers also put printed pictures of a student whose birthday is in coming weeks. This soft-board also holds pictures of any recent events in the school such as “Raksha-bandhan” etc. Kids love this!

 

School has special area (though small) dedicated for science laboratory, NewsPaper reading area, books library, instruments used in work-experience (carpentry or smithy) etc.

Shelves in the corner has reference books for most of the subjects – neatly wrapped up in plastic.

Janathe Pada school have started using computer provided by Suhrid Foundation as audio visual support in the education. Kids gets to learn few lessons on computer and also enjoy watching education videos on computer.
