Self Sustained Gondpada

Every school has electricity connection in the Vikramgad, Palghar region where we are working. However, frequent power outages make running schools little difficult – i.e. comfort of lights and fan, availability of water and cleanliness, use of eLearning facility (if any) – is directly impacted because of absence of power supply at times. This issue, further gets aggravated in (some schools) because of disconnection of power supplies (may be because of unpaid bills for some reasons). Suhrid Foundation, one by one, wanted to make schools self sustained and independent of such such challenges. Gondpada school was picked up for the same.
To make Gondpada self-sustained, Suhrid Foundation decided to introduce solar power system. Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview (RCBB) promptly accepted our proposal for implementation and the same was installed within a month of planning. We thank our long-term partner RCBB on behalf of Gondpada school for making it a self-sustained school.
