Medical Camps – Aug 2023

Monsoon typically brings minor illnesses amongst kids. This results into absence from school and also loss of their study and indirectly better nutrition (which otherwise they get along with their mid-day meal through a program which we run on school days). Children also get exposed to change of weather. Hence, this is the period when we have medical camps of all the schools.
This year, we had little delayed start – i.e. in August for medical camps for all 11 schools. We could see significant improvement in children’s health, overall cleanliness and good habits in kids. Teachers were well-engaged with children for their studies and also health.
This also was a first medical camp for 2 of our new schools. We explicitly requested all parents to come in the medical camp – so that they understand the need of the camp and also our doctors could guide them on what specific care needs to be taken as far as children’s health is concerned. This also helped establish connect of villagers with Suhrid Foundation and its activities.
