KGBV Girls – Learning Outside the Classrooms

We all believe that learning is not limited to only classrooms – but also lot remain outside of the classrooms. However, implementing this requires lot of effort at various levels – ranging from parents of children, teachers and supporting institutes/organizations.
Suhrid Foundation, based on discussion with girls and teachers at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalay, Waki (Vikramgad) decided to take 80 girls from 11th and 12th standard for educational trip to Aurangabad and nearby historical places – including World Heritage Site of Ellora Caves (Shri Kailasa Temple), Devgiri Fort, Paithan, and areas nearby. Girls would be accompanied by 8-10 members from the staff.
Ever since this was discussed, girls were very excited. To cover part of expenses, girls also contributed Rs 100/- on their own. Suhrid Foundation sponsored for travel (2 buses), stay and food arrangements, while ground-work was done by hostel warden and staff.
Though hectic, girls had a great trip and would remain with them as lifetime memories.
