Guravpada-Kaspada Medical Camp – Phase 1

We decided to have our follow up camps for this academic year on 5th March and 12th March, 2016 respectively. Both these camps were sponsored by our esteemed supporter Rajesh Lifespaces in memory of the mother of founder family.
First day of camps was organized at Guravpada in the morning, wherein we examined almost 160 odd kids from Guravpada and Janathepada. Second phase was conducted at Kaspada, wherein the 155 students from Kaspada, Talyachapada and Nandelpada were examined.
Our doctors have been able to identify majority of the common issues viz regular cough and cold, fever, skin infection, body-ache etc. However, ear infection was one common problem, which requires much more control in terms of monitoring. In the absence of the proper monitoring at home, some kids continue to ignore their small wounds, which come in contact with dirt, contaminated water etc and become far worse! With a very basic dressing of those wounds by doctors, we were able to get these kind of issues under control. It was very evident that if they had very basic medical facilities in these areas, then they would have handled at least these issues well.
